For the second consecutive year the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIB) and "Economics" magazine gathered the business elite of Bulgaria at the award ceremony "Mr. and Mrs. Economics 2016". Several hundred guests attended the event, which took place on 30 November in Sofia. 38 entrepreneurs in 10 categories were nominated for the prestigious business awards, with a jury including the Governing Council of CEIBG choosing the winners.

This year's winner of "Mister Economy" for 2016 is Ognyan Donev, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of "Sopharma". As "Mrs. Economy" employers' organization announced Svetla Lesova, CEO of "Mondelez Bulgaria".

The competition has 20 years of history, as CEIBG is co-organizer of the event in partnership with the magazine "Economy" in the past two years. Traditionally, winners receive a statuette "The Fisherman and the Goldfish," authored  by sculptor Stavri Kalinov, and a diploma. Partner of the event was Galaxy Investment Group and the CEO of the company Konstantin Boyadzhiev awarded the prize in the category "Transport and Logistics".
