Hilton Sofia Hotel is located in the heart of Sofia, near the trade centre in the South Park and the National Palace of Culture. In addition to the planned renovation, Hilton Hotels&Resorts reconfirms the presence of its top brand in Bulgaria by signing a new 20-year contract in a partnership with the investor company Galaxy Investment Group.
The building’s transformation concept is based on the leading idea “Hotel in the park, and park in the hotel”, where different elements of modern green architecture will be implemented based on the three main pillars – functionality, aesthetics and efficiency. It includes complete renovation, build-up and redesign of the existing building, with affluent interior greenery, vertical greenery of the façade and expanding the green park area surrounding the hotel. Thus, after the complete refurbishment Hilton Sofia will be able to offer its guests 255 fully renovated rooms and public areas, one VIP apartment, a top class presidential apartment with impressive view to the city and the Park, a special club zone, and a completely renewed lobby with modern bar and restaurant.

I believe the ambitions project for its renovation is a key prerequisite for a better image of Sofia and for attracting more tourists. What, for sure, we are not going to change with the refurbishment, is the enchanting panoramic view to the city, the South Park and Vitosha Mountain, as well as the exceptional services provided to our customers,” shared Konstantin Boyadzhiev, CEO of Galaxy Investment Group.
The project includes the creation of Hilton’s first new generation conference centre in Europe. The complex includes a large ballroom with park view and multifunctional halls for events, equipped with the newest technologies for attendance and hybrid type of events.
The hotel renovation includes the opening of a modern Wellness zone including the latest achievements of the SPA and Wellness industry.
In addition to the remarkable facilities of the hotel is also the biggest outdoor hotel parking in the capital providing 60 parking spaces.
To achieve less harmful greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring optimum functions of the energy and other technical systems, and reducing the hotel operational costs, the project provides for installation of the newest-generation solar systems, complete gasification, complete building automation, active use of natural ventilation, better energy efficiency by higher thermal insulation characteristics of external walls, low-emissivity glazing and suspended façade, use of low-energy light fixtures, and maximum use of natural light.
The hotel will remain open during the entire period of renovation and refurbishment which is expected to be completed by the autumn of 2023 when the hotel will offer its guests an entirely new and perfected experience.
