Town of Bansko
- Bansko is a town in the south-western part of Bulgaria, at the foot of Pirin Mountain to an altitude of 925 meters, and the ski tracks are to an altitude of 2000-2600 meters. The relief is mainly alpine.
- Bansko has the longest ski season from 15 December to 15 May and it offers 16 km long continuous ski tracks.
- There is also artificial snow provided which contributes for the good ski conditions even when the weather is milder.

History
In the past the town used to be a center of the Bulgarian National Revival period. The Bulgarian national leaders Neofit Rilski and Paisii Hilendarski descended from Bansko, as well as the poet Nikola Vaptsarov.
Today Bansko is a world-famous winter resort.
